 We  are seeking an experienced Controller  to join the team!  The ideal candidate isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, get out from behind the desk and become an operational leader in the areas of accounting, finance, administration and planning.  A team player who works well with all levels of employees plus vendors, accounting and banking relations.
 Description :                                                                                                     
Successful and growing dealership group is seeking a seasoned Controller.  The Controller position is accountable for the administrative, accounting, and financial planning operations of several dealerships. Including the development of financial and operational strategies, tied directly to a set of metrics, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to maximize the opportunity for growth, profitability and accurate financial results.  The principal accountabilities are:
  • Manage the accounting, human resources and administrative departments.
  • Responsible for all cash management, including reconciliation and inter-company transactions.
  • Management of inventories, receivable and other controlled accounts.
  • Accounts Payable reconciliation and disbursement.
  • Oversee the financial position of the day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
  • Manage payroll.
  • Maintain monthly and annual accruals and depreciation.
  • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
  • Implement operational best practices and compliance tied directly to monitoring and control systems.
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
  • Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced.
  • Maintain the franchisee/franchisor relationship.
  • Manage all Federal, State, and Local government communications.
  • Maintain banking relationships.
  • Oversee the issuance of financial information.
  • Manage month end closing accuracy and deadlines.
  • Manage external auditing and accounting relationships.
  • Personally review, monitor and issue all 1099’s and W2’s.
Requirements                                                                                                               .
  • Controller or CFO experience with  new car dealership is required.
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive responsibilities
  • Desire to help all department heads and keep business and communications flowing
  • Great team member
  • Ability to commute to Amarillo, Texas area daily or to relocate
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  •  Comfort with financial statements
  • Comfort with small town setting
  • Degree in accounting or finance is a plus
  • Great factory references
  • Drug , background , reference checks
