Credit Underwriter needed to be trained as Project Coordinator for  leading automotive financial software company !
 
This is a rare opportunity to join a software  segment leader  who is growing!
 
Our client specializes in developing loan origination solutions for banks, credit unions and finance companies. Their requirements include a lending background in one of the following: auto indirect, direct, banking, credit union or finance companies, underwriting, consumer lending, or credit analyst. Additionally, knowledge of the credit bureaus is very helpful.
 
Job Description:
This individual  will be trained to work in a project coordinator position to conduct requirements gathering, analyzing and understanding of client’s workflow related to our loan origination solutions for banks, credit unions and finance companies. This position is a pivotal component that involves heavy client interaction, managing client expectations and an understanding of underwriting & loan decisioning processes.
The role of project coordinator will be to work closely with clients, developers, quality assurance and other departments through project completion.
 
Main Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing proposals and Statements of Work
  • Working with the team to turn business requirements into detailed specifications
  • Working with the development team to create detailed interface documents of data transfer from our loan origination system to the clients core system
  • Providing requirements to the quality assurance department for test plans and use cases to be written
  • Working with the sales department to assist in analyzing the needs of potential clients
 
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years consumer credit underwriting
  • Business Analyst  or Project Management experience in financial sector is helpful
  • Excellent communication skills,  both written and verbal
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and resolve issues quickly
  • Ability to communicate with other departments including management
  • Ability to lead meetings, drive projects, meet deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office and web browser
  • Ability to travel (25%)
  • Ability to work in Long Island, NY
